We want to leave things better than we find them, so we are undertaking a huge cleanup on the farm before we pass it on to the next owners, which means cleaning out every dirty dark corner, water tank, clearing the fields and mostly giving and throwing away 15 years of stuff, much of it I'm not sure was ever mine.

We'll be sad to leave, but the promise of something else, something new, unsaddled by the weight and responsibility of taking care of such a large and complex land and properties and with just a car load of stuff - and a 15 year old cat - fills me with joy and Dora with dread in equal measures.
